Electric Motor Distributor and Repair Center, Emotor

Electric Motor Service was founded in 1984 by Lee Killeen in his garage. Lee's new company was set up as an authorized repair center for Bodine Electric motors. This relationship eventually became an authorized distributorship. In the late 1980's we outgrew the garage and moved into a small industrial building. Lee's son, Greg joined the company in 1986 and our growth continued.

In 2003 we purchased Bratu Electric Motors, located in Chicago, Illinois. This purchase gave us in-house winding equipment for Bodine Electric DC motors. We have the unique capability to support the very popular but obsolete Bodine Electric's N frame motors, also known as the Universal Motor.

Two moves later, we now are the 3rd largest Bodine Electric distributor in the country. An accomplishment we are proud of especially as a single location! In March 1, 2008 Electric Motor Service was purchased by David Sodaro. We are happy to report, Greg Killeen is staying on as technical support, with his 20+ years of Bodine Electric and Bratu Electric product knowledge.
